My name is Desire. I am 15 years old and currently in Primary Five. I lost my father, and life has been very difficult for our family. We are seven
children, but five have already dropped out of school. Only two of us are still studying. I have seen what it means to not have access to education.
It closes so many doors and forces girls into shortcut for livelihood. That is why I am determined to complete my studies and become a teacher.
I want to inspire other children in my community, especially girls, to believe that education can change their future. With the support from Edu
Child Foundation, I now have a chance to keep my dream alive and avoid the fate that many girls in my village face.
