1. About Us
To create all-inclusive and transformed Ugandan communities where children, women, and youth are empowered to live to their fullest God-given potentials.
Modeling holistic approaches in tackling poverty, illiteracy, gender inequality, rights violations, and other global challenges affecting vulnerable children, women, and youth in Ugandan rural communities.
These are the values for which we stand as an organization; #1. Reverence to God, #2. Integrity, #3. Community #4. Empowerment #5. Good Stewardship #6. Excellence #7. Love across divides
80% of our work is focused on girl child and women empowerment and 85% of general funding to Edu Child Foundation Uganda goes directly to financing Program activities in the communities we serve.
We work across all forms of diversities, being it religious, racial, ethnic or any other, in being builders of hope, touching the lives of those we serve with the unconditional love of God, while empowering them through education, character development training, and other practical initiatives to be people of high moral regards in societies, who are self-reliant and are empowered to discover and do exploits with their unveiled God-given potentials/talents.
We believe that everyone on the face of the earth deserves to live a dignified life. No one was born to live on the lesser side. Poverty, illiteracy and gender discrimination demeans every human affected by them. And these are human challenges that we are addressing in our immediate communities of Nebbi District, Uganda where we serve.
We know that we are a part of a worldwide community of people who have chosen to make a difference in their societies – being vessels of hope to the most vulnerable young generation and communities they serve.
Our passion is to continue making a lasting improvement in the lives of the vulnerable young generation; providing them with opportunities to experience and extend the unconditional love of God, receive education, fight poverty, acquire different practical life skills; and character development — And for the girl child to fully stand tall—unafraid. We hope to see a vulnerable child, a powerless girl or woman, or a directionless youth; able to live to their full potentials.
